High-tech EPS as the development of modern automobile closely, represents the futuredirection of development of automobile power steering technology, and its application hasbeen developed from the original mini-cars to luxury cars, sports cars and off-road vehiclesand commercial vehicles. EPS has broad prospects for development, and EPS test-bed ensurethe development of essential test for which. This paper carries out the Study of EPS testtechnology for commercial vehicles, which topic has important and practical significance.The paper mainly carries out the work of EPS test-bed development for commercialvehicle. At the same time, we analyze the EPS performance evaluation methods and controlstrategies, and establish a theoretical foundation of the test bed. Based on the characteristicsof commercial vehicle and through the study of domestic and foreign commercial vehicle EPStest-bed, the design requirement of the EPS test platform, overall framework of test bench andmain technical indexes were determined. Meanwhile, we match and lectotype the loadingmechanism, load transmission mechanism, and other major parts of the matching selectionand performance of EPS test-bed. The paper introduces the design of the main control circuitof EPS. In addition to using VC++development platform to test computer program design,designed the software system structure, completed the test preparation, data acquisition,motion control, test data analysis and processing and display program design. The torque andcurrent characteristics of the EPS test platform through the heavy truck of the actual test toverify the performance of the test bench, test requirement. Through this research, provides thetheory basis and practical reference value for the development of vehicle EPS test-bed.
