Brushless DC motor control system, which consists of some mechatronic systems suchas: motor technology, power electronics, control theory,computer technology and so on, is amechatronic system. It not only maintains the superior speed performance of the traditionalDC motor,but also overcomes the shortcomings of the original mechanical commutation andthe complex structure. Brushless DC motor control system has been widely used in theproduction of modern life, the prospects are bright. So study of the brushless DC motorsystem has the application value. This paper studies the speed control system and controlalgorithm of the brushless DC motor.The thesis discusses the body structure of the brushless DC motor, drive and the workingprinciple,also establishes the differential equations model, transfer function model and themodel equation.Meanwhile,according to the mathematical model, we studied two kinds ofcontrol methods: the armature winding series resistance method and the armature terminalvoltage regulation method.Compared the advantages and disadvantages of the two controlschemes,we used the PWM regulation scheme of armature terminal voltage regulation modeWe reseached the speed control algorithm of conventional PID and adaptive fuzzy PIDbased on the mathematical model with of established brushless DC motor, completed thedesign of adaptive fuzzy PID controller,and simulated.By analysis of simulation response curve of the rotational speed,Adaptive Fuzzy PIDalgorithm is better than conventional PID algorithm in anti-interference and dynamic responsecharacteristics in the brushless DC motor speed control system. Brushless DC motor speedcontrol system which uses adaptive fuzzy PID control algorithm can reach the controlrequirements while running in different speed ranges. It proves that Adaptive Fuzzy PIDalgorithm can be used in the speed control system.A brushless DC motor speed control system based on32-bit MCU is designed.In thissystem,the32-bit MCU SH-7125is used as the master chip. Intelligent power moduleFSB50325is chosed to design the drive circuit. The signal detection circuit, protection circuitand communication circuit is devised at the same time. Brushless DC motor control programand Adaptive Fuzzy PID control algorithm which is based on32-bit MCU is designed. Thesystem realizes the control of motor starts, the current detection, the calculation of rotationalspeed, the update for the PWM duty cycle, remote monitoring and other functions. Thefeasibility and correctness of the control algorithm is verified through the system test platform.
