| The provincial highway338is an important channel of Jiangsu Province, it goes throughthe hinterland of south Jiangsu, as a main traffic line, it connects many cities along theYangtze River, such as Shanghai, Changshu, etc. With the development of economy,especially after the Liujia port revoked, the traffic on provincial highway338has nearlydoubled, a lot of serious disease appeared, such as holes, surface deformation, etc. All of thisrequire to improve the traffic conditions.The main structure type of asphalt pavement in China is semi-rigid, this structure isaccordance with the heavy compaction standard, thin asphalt surface layer was built on thicksemi-rigid base, and formed the mode of “strong base, thin surface, stable subgradeâ€, in thisstructure, the base layer got large stiffness degree, compressive strength, and load distributioncapacity. But in Europe and America, the semi-rigid base has been rarely used in pavementstructure, the main type of pavement now is Long-life Asphalt Pavements or PerpetualPavements.In this paper, refer to the reconstruction project of provincial highway338, thecomposition of traffic was calculated through investigation, and the type of rode diseaseswere analyzed. With the analysis software ANSYS, the load states of semi-rigid pavement andflexible pavement were analyzed and contrasted, and some factors that can results in influenceon load stress states were discussed. The methods to control construction quality were listed. |
