Abstract/Summary:
In the same conditions of solar radiation, the temperature of the pavement rises faster than the natural underlying surface. The pavement can absorb more heat, and the heat dissipates harder, so the urban heat island is increasing. In recent years, there are a lot of researches on the temperature properties of asphalt pavement, cement concrete pavement and porous cement concrete pavement, but the research on how the porous cement concrete pavement effects on the temperature of the outside ambient is still not deep enough. Therefore, study on the thermal effect of porous cement concrete pavement is an effective way to alleviate the urban heat island effect which caused by porous cement concrete pavement. The surface and the inside and the bottom temperature of the porous cement concrete and ordinary concrete concrete specimens are measured using a data logger, and photo that with an infrared video camera simultaneously. The various factors effects on the thermal of porous cement concrete pavement and Portland cement concrete pavement were analyzed. The temperature field of the porous cement concrete pavement surface and the Portland cement concrete pavement surface, and the simulated air layer is established and the temperature changes is simulated using ABAQUS software, and the influencing factors are analyzed. It can be found that the maximum temperature of the pavement surface decreases with the increase of the thermal conductivity or the specific heat capacity or the reflectivity or the convective heat transfer coefficient of the porous cement concrete pavement and Portland cement concrete pavement. Reducing the temperature of porous concrete pavement and Portland cement concrete pavement can be effective in changing the adverse thermal effect which comes from the pavement. The temperature of the air layer above the pavement surface decreases when improving convective heat transfer coefficient or the reflectivity. This can decrease the adverse thermal effect which comes from the pavement. However, changing the thermal conductivity has few influences on decreasing the adverse thermal effect. The results provide a theoretical basis for taking measures to alleviate the urban heat island effect.
