Study On The Large Vehicle Traffic Safety Of Freeway

With the rapid growth of Chinese freeway mileage and the rapid development oftransportation, traffic safety issues are more and more serious, large vehicle has greatsecurity risks because of model structure and low power performance. Existing researchhas been focused on the overall freeway safety or car characteristics, there is few studieson large vehicles, and the research has little pertinence and the purpose is not clear.Therefore, it is necessary to study large vehicle on the freeway traffic safety to reducefreeway traffic accidents and improve the level of security services.Firstly, the paper analyzes the basic transport characteristics of large vehcle, largevehicle’s traffic flow state changes and traffic distribution characteristics, studies onstatistical analysis of large vehicle accidents data on the freeway.Secondly, analyses the factors including the people, vehicles, roads, environmental forlarge vehicle security implications from the view of the road traffic system,studies ontraffic accident causes of large vehicle on the freeway.Again, the paper analyses the statistics of traffic accidents in curve systemly, studies onlarge vehicle driving stability in the corners from the vehicle dynamics, obtains therecommended safe speed value of large vehicle in curve combining the actualinvestigation, mathematical model and simulation.Finally, introduces the concept of moving bottlenecks to analyze the influence of mixedlarge vehicle to the safety of the traffic flow, establishes the evaluation index system oftraffic flow state security, emulates large vehicle mixed rate and other influencing factorson the security implications of freeway traffic flow by Vissim software, analyses therelevant safety indicators, divides into various factors affecting the security level of thestate of the traffic flow.
