In recent year, Digging branch and plate pile which was developed on the basis ofconstant section bored pile. The principle that based on the constant section bored pile,digging soil around pile to form plate with machine or artificial. Enlarge the frictionresistance and end resistance and increase the pile bearing capacity. The bearing capacity ofeach stratum was filling utilized. Therefore, the vertical bearing capacity of the diggingbranch pile was enhanced, lower settlement lower pollution to environment. It’s a broadapplication prospects.Based on the national highway network,second hu ba tian bridge of theHangzhou-Ruili highway Longlin-Ruili section.Its analysis load transfer mechanism ofdigging branch and plate pile. It’s researched that the branches and plates interaction thepile foundation and the branch pile mode and failure mechanism in the theoretical.Base on the PLAXIS finite element method, the bearing capacity and settlement,analysis that the diameter shape position quantity the critical vertical interval and distanceof weak layer that affect the bearing capacity and settlement of branch and plate of pile. It’sstudied the bearing characteristics and settlement and deformation characteristics of singlerow of piles. By using three—dimensional finite element method, analysis on the verticalshear stress field and displacement,conclusion of the optimum of branches position and pilespacing for single row of piles.This article analysis method to study supporting a capacity formula and determined thebearing capacity method the optimum design according to settlement is more importantwhen the primary purpose of adopted branch and plate piles is to decrease settlement. Thelength and the diameter are taken as the design variables, the settlement is adopted asrestrain condition and the total capacity of pile is considered as the objective function.Combined with the foregoing calculation methods of settlement, composite foundation ofspecific case studies are optimized to get better economic performance.
