With Chinese building energy-saving awareness gradually increased, thereappeared various types of building energy-saving product after another. As one ofearlier implementation of building energy saving in China, construction technology andmaterials of exterior wall also innovate continually. However, external wall insulationmaterials as a material applied to energy-saving measures are lack of concern about theimpact of the environment throughout the life cycle. This study used BEPAS model togive a quantificational evaluation about the environment effects of insulation board, it isdivided into ecological system damage and resources consumption two large class, itssubproject contained climate warming, ozone consumption and acidification effect etc.,this search adopted social paid wishes method (WTP) on various environment effect forweighted assessment, then monetized the environment effect of insulation boardthrough updated of weight system, finally obtain the objective and intelligible results.This article focus on three main exterior wall insulation board in constructionindustrial (they are extruded polystyrene insulation board, rock wool insulation board,foam glass board), and then analyzed the environment effect of production process ofexterior wall insulation board based on whole life circle, it includes the influences ofexploit of original materials, transport and plate making, then produced comprehensiveenvironmental impact data in production procedure; Due to the insulation boards areindustrial products, secondary processing is not required during the construction process,the transport is key element when assessing the environmental impacts of theconstruction phase; because of lacking of recycle measures, the solid garbage is themain environment effect of insulation board in failure stage; Finally, integrated asimulated case, compared in the same area with environment and economic effects ofdifferent insulation plate external wall thermal insulation system, provide some suggestions about the choice of exterior wall heat preservation materials.
