Along with the rapid social and economic development, energy shortages andenvironmental pollution problems in our country are getting worse. In this case, the airconditioning technology of underground water source heat pump,a kind of green energysaving technology developed.Although the technology was applicated in our countrylate, but developed very fast.Since it is high of energy efficiency and low pollution, lowoperating cost, and easy to operate, etc.,it has been used widely in our country. In this paper, underground water source heat pump air conditioning system isdesigned for a hospital in xi’an,The all-year hourly dynamic load and energyconsumption simulation analysis were carried out by using the energy consumptionsimulation software EnergyPlus. The other two system, an soil source heat pumpsystems and central heating (coal-fired boiler)+water chillers are chosen to make acomparison with the designed at system in annual energy consumption, technologyfeasibility, economic and environmental impact assessment. The advantages anddisadvantages were concluded of each scheme after three aspects of comparativeanalysis.Through the simulation results can be concluded that the annual energyconsumption of the unit of the underground water source heat pump system is thelowest, converting into a standard coal consumption is232.78t,saving76%than thecentral heating (coal-fired boiler)+water chiller system, and saving21%than the soilsource heat pump system.Economic analysis results show that the underground water source heat pump system is between the central heating (coal-fired boiler)+water chiller system and thesoil source heat pump system in economic aspect. It’s annual total cost is184.52million,saving14%than the soil source heat pump system,but17%higher than the centralheating (coal-fired boiler)+water chiller system.Environmental impact assessment results show that the underground water sourceheat pump system is between the central heating (coal-fired boiler)+water chillersystem and the soil source heat pump system in annual emissions aspect. It’s annualemissions of carbon dioxide is1363t,5%more than the soil source heat pump system,48%less than central heating (coal-fired boiler)+water chiller systems. Butcomprehensively considering the energy consumption, economic and environmentalimpact and characteristics of this project and the surrounding conditions, theunderground water source heat pump is the most appropriate in this project.
