The Research On Regional-style Landscape Design Of Modern Villa Courtyard

As a special dwelling form, modern villa is the high-end residence in modern citiesand as well a new life style for people to get rid of urban imprisonment and return tonature. Villa courtyard landscape is not only the focus of villa project, but also one ofthe important factors to differentiate from general residence. It is the focus of modernvilla courtyard landscape design and research insiders and as well the purpose of thisresearch to strive for the style and trend of villa courtyard, the ideal residence pursuedand advocated by modern people, the concept of life living up to Chinese people, andeven the classic to be passed from generation to generation.This paper researches regional-style landscape design of villa courtyard under thepremise of nature&ecology, human-based demand, and regional culture throughcollecting literatures, analyzing typical cases, comparing history, practicing, applicationand testing. The research is developed from following aspects.Firstly, this paper gives an introduction to the concept of regional-style landscapeof modern villa courtyard and determines the research scope. Secondly, it gives a briefanalysis of the development of villa courtyard at home and abroad, focuses on sortingout the development of traditional villa courtyard and modern villa courtyard in China,and presents the differences between traditional villa courtyard and modern villacourtyard and summarizes enlightenment of landscape construction. Then, from a massof case studies, the paper selects a part of typical cases with strong regional style toanalyze their design concept, style and features respectively, conclude universalities andparticularities of representative works in different regions, and abstract essence toprovide reference for broadening the vision of researching and enriching regional-style modern villa. On this basis, it explains the regional style of modern villa courtyard,analyzes the impact factors and positioning of regional-style landscape design, andsummarizes principles and methods of regional-style landscape design. At last, thepaper combines with practical case–the landscape design of a villa courtyard ofQujiang Mansion in Xi’an, to pointedly put forward the connotation expression,landscape elements creation, and design techniques exploration of regional-stylelandscape design in Xi’an, and discover the practical application and research resultsdemonstration of landscape element expression of regional-style landscape design.The paper carries out a research on regional-style landscape design of modern villacourtyard and explores the landscape expression materials and design techniques in theresearch on regional-style landscape design, in the hope of providing some reference forfuture studies on modern villa courtyard landscape, modern residential landscape,detached dwelling landscape, new rural landscape, etc.
