| At present our major source of drinking water pollution accidents occurfrequently, seriously damaged the natural environment and resources, while thepeople’s health and property posed a grave security threat and affect social stabilityand development. In this thesis, we take Foshan City as the research object,collecting relevant information of Foshan City’s water sources, investigated andcollected water source conditions, city’s water profile, water plant’s running processoverview, analyzed user complaints caused by occurred in the past due to odor andturbidity.On the basis of real data which come from Foshan City’s two major sourcesof water and the city’s typical water plants,by using cluster analysis, factor analysis,time series analysis method of multivariate statistical analysis to determine waterphases of the North River and West River,cleared the characteristics of water qualityof the North River and West River, and got long-term trends function of somepollutant index,analyzed the influencement of PAC dosing to the existingconventional drinking water treatment processes.On the basis of risks identificationof the Foshan city’s drinking water source,for the limitations of the existing waterquality early warning monitoring system, developed a water quality warningmonitoring system construction scheme. The results showed that:(1) The raw water quality in Foshan is good,needing to focus on ammonianitrogen and total nitrogen,total nitrogen concentration exceeded standard almostyear-round, the case of other water quality indicators are better reached the nationalsurface water quality standard (GB3838-2002) prescribed surface water class Ⅱstandard.(2) North River water quality period can be divided into three,West River waterquality period can be divided into two.(3)The raw water quality of Foshan city affected by seasonal fluctuations,which is a micro-polluted water. DO water content is low in the summer, waterpurification capacity is poor, prone to sudden deterioration of water quality andwater pollution incidents; winter, high ammonia content of water will affect thecoagulation effect, chlorination will produce organic halides. In addition, theupstream water source is open, mobility, multi-functional waters, prone to suddenwater pollution accidents.(4)All the water indicators of water plants are essential to achieve the "drinkingwater health standards"(GB5749-2006) requirements, indicating the conventionalwater treatment process that is able to meet the water requirements of Foshan City.
