For better utilization of solar energy, the development of solar energy material and technology is the key factor. Currently, silicon is the most important material for solar energy. The crystalline silicon material (including polysilicon and monocrystalline silicon) takes the90%market share. And in quite a period, it will still be the main material for solar battery.The objective of this article is based on the comparative analysis of the international main silicon photovoltaic solar energy strategy and planning, analysis of literature on silicon based photovoltaic solar energy field, Analysis of patent and international standard to define overall trend on Silicon based photovoltaic, the research direction and key technology of crystallinesilicon material, which could be reference for making national strategy route and research direction.The article contains: research of the development strategy and plan of silicon based photovoltaic materials in some major countries; Comparison of layout and development of scienceand technology among different countries; based on analysis of literature amount and patent to define development trend, overall direction, core technology of silicon based photovoltaic solar energy field; analysis of standard information are used to determine the development of technology, product and industry silicon based photovoltaic solar energy; based on our situation, some reasonable suggestions on strategic roadmap for the future development of silicon-based photovoltaic solar energy and industrial layout are provided.
