Backhoe dredger is one of the important dredging vessels,as its principal operatingdevice,excavating apparatus has the advantage of flexibility,it plays an important role indredging field.In the most time of dredging work,the excavating apparatus is working inunderwater. Because of it,the driver can not get the underwater position and gesture of theexcavating device clearly,as well as the terrain information of the bottom of theriver.Therefore,it always lead to blind operations such as skip-in-digging andrepeated-digging,which greatly affects the efficency of the dredging operations.With thesupport of the “Ministry Key Laboratory Fund for Dredging”,the paper does some specificresearch on a large-scale backhoe dredger with regarding it as a unit,and designs theoperation process supervisory system of backhoe dredger.The application background ofthis paper is very clear,and has certain practical value.The main task of this article is asfollows:It analyses the equipments of backhoe dredger and the dredging process, determinesthe basic function of system and designs the system’s net structure based on the research inthe arctile.Simultaneously,it studies the field monitoring layer and the PC layer of thesupervisory system.It establishes transformation model among the positioning system’s coordinates andapplies to backhoe dredger according to the RTK-DGPS positioning principle,whichachieves the function of ship positioning and locus-displaying.And the bucket positionmodel is set up with D-H coordinate conversion,which accomplishes the function ofdredging process-displying.And the terrain at the bottom of the river in the work area is plottedin line with the display principle of computer bitmap image,and the paper designs the modifyprocess of the terrain map,which completes the function of terrain-displaying.At the sametime,the way of obtaining the operation data is analyzed,and the median value of the averagefiltering method and the limiting filtering method are used to eliminate datainterference,which realizes the function of integrated data processing.It designs the database for supervisory system of backhoe dredger.According to theactual needs,this system designs real-time and historical database.We introduce the processof using shared memory technology and DLL technology to build real-time database,anduses the interface functions encapsulated in DLL to deal with shared memory data whichsatisfies the inter-communicate efficiency need for ship’s dredging process.The SQL Server2000is used as the development platform of the historical database,which solves problems of data compression.According to the functions, the software framework of the system is built and thecommunication way for client to access database server is designed.This system isdeveloped on the platform of VC6.0, and The functions of ship positioning andlocus-displying, dredging process-displing and terrain-displying are obtained.Practicaloperation effect shows that this system is valuable in actual project.
