Due to terrain constraints, the needs of the spillway and aesthetic considerations, pilzbridge usually need to set same span. However, this bridge appears some diseases in theoperation,due to the limitations of the structure itself. In this paper, basing on a span of19+19+19mile for a joint of3linked pilz bridge, analysis those disease from the mainbeam stiffness, pier anti-push rigidity, and the connection of pier columns and plates.Using the bridge structure value of the stress and deflection as evaluation.Through the study of the bridge structure, to achieve to improve the structure of theforce, to reduce the occurrence of disease. The paper is mainly scheduled as follows:(1)The paper analyzes the causes leading to equal span pilz bridge’s disease.(2)The effect of main girder’s rigidity on behaviors of Equal Span Pilz Bridge wasdiscussed. The proper main girder stiffness was determined through analyzing solidsection, T section, hollow section and prestressed solid slab section by MIDAS/FEAsoftware in order to reduce the main girder deflection.(3)The effect of anti-push rigidity on behaviors of equal span pilz bridge wasinvestigated. The bending moments of pier columns and plate were determined by theirrelative stiffnesses. By analyzing and inquiring, effect of changes in anti-push rigidity ofequal span pilz bridge’s behaviors was discussed and suitable height and width of pier wasobtained to improve the stress condition of the structure.(4)The influence of connection type between pier columns and plate was estimated.Four different connection types were selected to study the their effects on qualities stressof bridge by using finite element analysis software MIDAS/CIVIL. The desiredconnection type was chosen to make the force distribution of bridge is more reasonable,prlong its working life and dercease the deteriorations of equal span pilz bridge.
