Continuous rigid frame bridge has well advantages on overall performance, bearingcapacity, and it have reasonable economic and cosmetic appearance, so it has been widelyused by bridge engineers, but because of its massive upper weight, pier and beamconsolidation leads to the large displacement and internal force of the prestressed,concrete shrinkage, creep and temperature change, so the span capacity has been unableto obtain further promotion. In2010, based on continuous rigid frame bridge, SecondHighway Consultant Co. Ltd (CCSHCC) takes a new approach, designed the pier beamjoint into hollow, successfully complete the Beipanjiang large span290m continuousrigid frame bridge. But as a new type, its various aspects are still to be studied. Therefore,through a variety of methods, this paper will make a comprehensive evaluation of itsperformance to this new bridge.Firstly, this paper takes170m Open-web Lun Zhou Bridge as the background, whichis also designed by CCSHCC, and according to corresponding paremeters, designed anordinary continuous rigid frame bridge, comparise their camber, vibration characteristics,static and dynamic characteristics of their key section as well as the main materials in thefinite element software, draw a conclusion: Open-web bridge is light, under the action ofgravity in the construction and normal operation phase, the girder section deflection isless than the solid bridge; under long-term loading, creep deformation slightly is largeropen-web bridge; Under moving load and earthquake action, the zero block, pier top andbottom stress of the hollow bridge decrease greatly; The longitudinal anti-push rigidity ofthe Open-web bridge is more strong than the solid one, but its lateral rigidity is relativelypoor; Open-web bridge prestressed steel and accessories dosage is a little more, but thetotal amount of concrete greatly reduced, if the prestressed steel is reasonableconfiguration, it will be more economical.Then, based on section checking and seismic performance calculation of Panjiangcontinuous rigid frame bridge, the section and anti-seismic design is reasonable, the newstyle has the ability to reach larger span.
