The vehicle routing strategy in the process of material handling system for large shipshas a direct influence on the material supply efficiency. Large ship material handlingsystem vehicle routing is not only planned basing on the existing network but alsodynamic planned considering results of large ship material handling system routing staticplanning to complete supply tasks in the shortest possible time and reduce supply cost asmore as possible at the same time. The deficiency of existing vehicle routing planning of large ship material handlingsystem based on material supply have been analyzed and a set of basic steps suitable forgeneral large ship material handling system vehicle routing planning problem have beenput forward in this paper. According to the traditional material handling analysis methodsand combined with large ship material handling characteristics, statically plans the vehiclerouting from network design and equipment selection firstly. Then as the foundation asinput data, this planning results will be used to discuss the large ship material handlingsystem real-time vehicle routing optimization problem to plan dynamically and obtain areal-time scheduling scheme. The network design is divided into three steps including the transport route selection, select station and setting buffer standing. The material handling equipment selection, which models from two supply ways including shore-to-ship and vessel-to-ship, will beconverted to linear programming problem. Then, two models respectively are verified byexample and calculated by using Lingo tool to complete large ship material supplyhandling system static path planning. Object to minimizing both distance and time, thedynamic vehicle routing problem establish the multiple objective programming model, using the collected data including the system layout parameters and equipment selectionoptimization model calculation results. The most efficient route plan with the lowest costof the material handling is calculated by this model and also verified the having positiveeffect feasibility and effectiveness of optimization for large ship material handling system.
