With the development of economy and the surge of the vehicles, on the one hand, leadto traffic demand and traffic supply imbalance of the freeway traffic, cause freeway trafficcongestion and accidents frequently on the other hand. It is of great significance for freewaydevelopment to reasonably avoid the risk of freeway traffic and coordinate the relationshipbetween supply and demand. Freeway ramp control can smooth the freeway mainline trafficflow, and this method is the most directly and effective way to improve freeway trafficsituation. There are some misleading to some extent on the awareness of freeway users asdomestic freeway traffic control analysis from the point of view of the "safety". This paperdraws on the theory of Economics Risk analysis method, design and solving calculations forfreeway ramp control algorithm.The paper summarizes the freeway ramp-metering control algorithm research status onthe basis of these theoretical principles and comparative the advantages and disadvantagesof these classical algorithms, and lay the foundation for the freeway ramp control algorithmimprovements; by studying the characteristics of the freeway microscopic traffic flowmodel and traffic accidents data, paper defines the risk of freeway traffic, calculates thecollision probability of the risk combined with the known experimental data; combined withthe actual operation of the freeway on the basis of known risk probability, based on thefreeway entrance ramp theoretical import flows, improves freeway ramp control linearprogramming model for different risk conditions; Finally, the paper uses observed data ofHebei Province to verify the effectiveness of different probabilistic risk ramp controlprogram.
