Study On Urban Public Bicycle Choice Behavior

Along with the expansion of urban areas and the construction of large residentialarea,there is blank area between residents’workspace and urban public transportsystem,bring inconvenience to the traveler, With the rapid development of motorvehicles at the same time, the urban environment deteriorating; in recent years, thepublic bicycle as a kind of economy,environmental and new-style vehicles got rapiddevelopment in many cities, effectively improve the environment of the city, at thesame time,fills the coverage blind spots of large-carrying-capacity public transport.But at present,there is no quantitative analysis of the urban residents’attitude towhether accept public bicycles or not and the factors that affect urban public bicyclechoice behavior in many city of china,lead low service level to the early usage ofpublic bicycle. So before the promotion of public bicycle, it is necessary to explorethe traveler choice mechanism of public bicycle.At first this paper according to the public bike usage situation of some domesticurban,qualitative analysis the the internal influence factors of urban public bicyclechoice behavior(character of traveler,character of public bicycletransportation,character of public bicycle travel) and External factors (the urban spacestructure, urban public bicycle traffic infrastructure, natural conditions and policyconditions).then, According to the xi’an high-tech zone’s slow survey data,to thetraveler with different travel mode,select the main factors that influence the choice,setup Binary Logistic regression model,quantitative analysis how the main factors affectpeople choose public bicycle.Research results show that for traveler with differenttravel mode,the main influencing factors that Affect the choice of public bicycle arequite difference.For example,the factors that influence car traveler choose publicbicycle are travel distance,whether bus transfer is convenience,cycling safety.The research results have certain promoting significance for the healthydevelopment of public bicycle in city,through quantitative analysis,acquire the mainfactors that influence the urban residents choose public bicycles, thereby improvingpublic bicycles operating environment, make full use of the resources of publicbicycle, and then improve the whole operation capacity and service level of the publictransport system.
