| The heavy traffic load, enlarged traffic density and increasing driving speed acceleratethe damage of pavement surface. The cement concrete, without properly maintained, will beout of shape for some reasons. For example, the pavement surface will contract due to dryweather, water loss, low temperature and carbonization. If we do not prevent this deformation, the concrete will crack when reaching its deformation maximum. Therefore, the degree ofcontraction can be regarded as an important indicator to detect anti-cracking capability ofcement concrete. It can reduce contraction rate by adding polypropylene fiber to cementconcrete, which is of great significance to improve the anti-cracking capability of cementconcrete. Based on laboratory tests, I mainly do research on dry contraction and mechanicalproperties of cement concrete mixed with polypropylene fiber. With the aids of the findings inthe research, I will make a quantitative or qualitative analysis with macro approaches andmeans. In addition, I will analyze its mechanical properties of the mixed cement concrete toevaluate its anti-cracking capability. In the end, I will put forward the relevant mechanicalproperty parameters of the mixed cement concrete and propose available and economicalquantities of the fibers. My study can provide a theoretic foundation for further popularizationand application of cement concrete in road projects. |
