The light steel structure housing has already been applied in the domestic, but didn’tget the promotion, and this kind of structure has been used more widely abroad. Themain component to resist lateral force and gravity load in steel structure housing is thecomposite wall, so the study of composite wall it is the main content of the housingsystem research.This paper mainly study on seismic performance of composite wall. Five pieces of1:2composite wall specimens were designed in the test. This article considering thefactors of the composite wall C steel column and channel steel beam section size,reinforced plate, open hole, and the different wall materials. In order to study seismicperformance of composite wall five composite walls were tested with vertical andhorizontal low cycled reversed loading. Through comparison and analysis of datacollected: the yield strength improved by7.4%when the composite wall body skeletonsection feet from C60to C100, the biggest load increased by3.4%; the wall open holethat the yield load of specimen was7.4%lower, and the stiffness degradation is serious;the yield strength increased by7.2%when set the reinforced plate, the biggest loadincreased by4.5%, the wall stiffness increased by50%, the stiffness is increasedsignificantly, but the bearing capacity of increase is not obvious, and the ductility andenergy dissipation coefficient increased; wallboard materials used and gypsum boardthan taking its yield strength and maximum load and ultimate load of around2times,nearly three times higher initial stiffness.We also extracted each specimen failure obvious parts of the load strain curve,calculation specimen local maximum stress, compared to the yield stress of thespecimens. Through the analysis, partial of the specimens failed to meet yield, themaximum stress occurs in the corner of the specimens, which is about210n/was. It canbe considered local weaken such as reducing the thickness of the steel column C, or reduce the size of the Angle of reinforced plate in order to achieve more economiceffect.After the test, we establish the finite element model of the specimens through thefinite element analysis software ABAQUS, and defining the finite element model of thematerial properties, dividing grid unit, loading the model simulation test of loading way,then the model is obtained by processing the stress nephogram and displacementcontours, and extracting the load displacement curve of the model. Based on the resultsof simulation and test of the skeleton curve contrast, and extract model of local stressand stress in test, the test results and finite element simulation analysis results are ingood agreement.
