Research On The Open Space Of Beijing Financial Street

Beijing Financial Street is located in the old city of Beijing within the Second RingRoad, southwest corner, and north of Fuchengmen Avenue, South to Fuxingmen NeiDajie, west of West Second Ring, East Main Street Bridge. Construction began in the90’sof last century, in which approximately one hundred square kilometers area concentratedin the functions of financial industry zone. After twenty years of development, BeijingFinancial Street has begun to take shape, and began to expand outward. By now BeijingFinancial Street West expansion project has been started.This article focus Beijing Financial Street open space as the object of study, BeijingFinancial Street and the surrounding area as the research scope. The use of literatureresearch, field survey and interview arrangement, classification comparison analysismethods, in summing up past city related fields of research results in the foundation, tothe city development in the inheritance and association as the starting point, the systemdiscussed Beijing Financial Street development and planning, Beijing Financial Streetarea characteristic, open space, elements of the evolution, and similar cases abroad, makesa comparative study of the development, cause analysis, puts forward problems andsuggestions.This paper analyzes the Beijing financial street open space form and current use,points out the problems, helps the rapid development of the open space planning anddesign in now days. Hopefully this case provides the reference for the future urban openspace construction.
