Short shear wall-masonry composite wall has a larger initial stiffness andultimate bearing capacity, could dissipate seismic energy phased, it’s a multi-defense seismic structural system.The research group study on failure charac-teristics、deformation capacity、stiffness degradation and energy dissipation ofshort shear wall-masonry composite wall though quasi-static test。Study showthat composite wall can work together, masonry wall failure firstly act as thefirst defense seismic, and composite wall show a better energy dissipation ca-pacity. Based on the existing study, the main contents this paper are as follow:Through analyze the destruction process, failure pattern and data of exp-eriment, studied the interaction of each parts of the composite wall: that thecomposite wall work well as whole shear wall on elastic stage; this paper p-roposed that combination wall resistance lateral loads mainly by the overallmoment, failure mode of the is overall bending failure.This paper proposed a calculation model of composite wall, based on thestudy of failure modes and interaction character of composite wall. In this c-alculation mode the masonry and coupling beam to the part between the pierequivalent to a whole wall, solving internal forces by differential equation,which establish through continuous deformation conditions. The process of th-is calculation mode is illustrated. Recommendations for design the composite wall is given in this article. |
