To get combat effectiveness maximization for a group of missiles in the future battlefield ofcomplex engagement environment, a missile not only needs to use precision-guidance systems tointercept target, but also cooperates closely with other missiles to complete a variety of combatmissions. Therefore, it is necessary to study guidance and control for cooperative engagement ofmulti-missile. This paper focuses on the performance of missile, multi-target assignment as well asstrategy for cooperative guidance and control of multi-missile, and so on.SectionⅠ, to obtain the information of dynamic intercept zone in real time online between boththe engagements of flight vehicles with each other, traditional air-to-air intercept zone and dynamicintercept zone of air-to-air missile after being launched are presented. Comparing with the numericalsimulation results of traditional intercept zone of the same air-to-air missile, the paper summarizes theproperties of dynamic intercept zone of missile after being launched. To study the sensitivity ofintercept zone of air-to-air missile influenced by random wind and error of lift-drag ratio, a great dealof numerical flight simulation is carried out to obtain intercept zones under all kinds of circumstances. The numerical simulation results are showing that the air-to-air missile intercept zones are largelysensitive to random wind and the error of lift-drag ratio.SectionⅡ, the dominance of missile on the target is provided at first, and then the dominancematrix of estimated time-to-go is modeled based on the relationship between the missiles and targets, and algorithm of multi-target assignment is presented. A great deal of numerical flight simulationresults have been obtained to verify some possible situations, for example, the number of missile isgreater than or equals to target number.Section Ⅲ, the impact time control guidance law is derived by the optimal control theory at first, and then the principle of choosing missile leader is detailed. A great deal of numerical flightsimulation is carried out on condition that single air-to-air missile formation uses impact time controlguidance law to intercept maneuvering target or no-maneuvering target. The strategy for cooperativeguidance and control of multiple multi-missile formations are discussed as the following: Eachmulti-missile formation still uses impact time control guidance law to control the trajectory ofmissiles, and the request is satisfied for the time share coordinated interception among multi-missileformations. At last, a great deal of numerical flight simulation is carried out on condition that twomulti-missile formations cooperate with each other to intercept two targets. The numerical simulation results are showing that the strategy of cooperative guidance given in this paper can satisfy bothsingle missile formation and multi-missiles formations to intercept the targets within coordinatedtime.
