As more and more metro lines are putted into operation, people began to realize thatvibration impacts on the surrounding environment due to subway are still inevitable, althoughthe other pollution impacts from the subway are in general light comparing with other style oftransport. However there are so many events that the influence to public due to subway train, such as Qingdao, Shanghai and Beijing. Especially when the subway lines wear residentialsection, the residents have reflected strongly, the complaints about subway vibration and noisein an endless stream. The finite element model and boundaryelementmodelare presented tostudy vibrations and re-radiated noise in buildings due to metro trains. The primary works inthis paper are presented as follows:1. The structure noise research method and the structure noise evaluation standard due tosubway are summarized;2.Basedon an office building structure simplified model, establishing building structuraldynamics finite element model and interior cavity acoustic finite element model to study thebuilding structure dynamic characteristics and indoor cavity acoustic modal characteristics;3.Using software SIMPACK build body dynamics model by considering the wheel-railirregularities, and calculating the wheel-rail forces that speed are60km/h,70km/h and80km/h;4. The finite element model of the train-tunnel-soil-building system is built with ANSYSto study the vibration response of the building due to train load, discussed the different speed, the different distance between building with tunnel center line and wheel-rail irregularities onthe influence of the vibration response of the building;5. Boundaryelementmodelis presented to study re-radiated noise in buildings based onthe structure vibration response to study the sound field space distribution characteristics, different size, holes, and the absorption coefficient on the influence of the interior sound field.
