The purpose of Sun Sensor is to provide real-time, accurate attitude angle ofthe sun for the satellite attitude control system mainly through the processing ofsolar facula image. Due to the satellite’s volume and weight reducing continuouslyin its development process, the Sun Sensor need to develop in the direction towardminiaturization inveitably. The SoC with high degree of integration, low powerconsumption and high reliability is one of the effective technical supports ofminiaturization of Sun Sensor. The efficient SoC of Digital Sun Sensor need toensure the accuracy of the solar output angle, and need to support small storagespace, low power consumption, high calculation efficiency and stable system.This dissertation will propose a solar centroid algorithm that just need tominimal data cache space and is able to correct the systematic errors automaticallyin line with improve the accuracy of the caculation of the output sun angle, savingthe computational resources and to improve the efficiency of system execution. Wewill carry out reasonable hardware and software partitioning of the sun centroidalgorithm for the purpose of reducing the redundancy of SoC, reducing the size ofthe on-chip storage space after the C language modeling and the simulation of thesun centroid algorithm to ensure efficient implementation of the algorithm.Thecommunication between software and hardware is mainly completed by initiatingand responding interrupt except the system initialization. The rational design of thehardware interface is the effective guarantee of normal communication betweenhardware and software. This dissertation will address the specific hardware andsoftware division to synchronous control and data signal of system and sunhardware IP to design a hardware interface which can pass the interrupt request andreceive the interrupt acknowledge signal from CPU.This dissertation will finish the design of Sun Sensor SoC using the method ofplatform-based. The platform of this SoC is the fully validated LEON3CPUplatform. We will integrate the self-designed solar centroid algorithm hardware IPto the minimum System of LEON3that can guarantee the basic functions of thenormal operation of the system. We will use the direct verification method to finish the verification of the independent verification of solar centroid algorithm hardwareIP. And we will use the hardware and software co-simulation verification methodsto complete digital simulation of the SoC of Sun Sensor. The implemention of thehardware and software co-simulation is to writing C language test stimulus toconverte into the executable binary file of CPU after compiling and linking.
