Considering the friction power, long life and internal cleaning and manyother advantages, while the low capacity, small damping is the main cause of thelimited gas bearing application. Rotor-bearing system has a complex gasdynamics, while the dynamics of the core is to get the gas bearing gas film force.This article first to vertical gas using Fluent software for three-dimensionalflow field of gas bearing simulation, considering the speed of the rotor, eccentric,for the number of pores, pore diameter and gas point for other factors on thedistribution of gas bearing pressure, get a different speed and eccentricity of gasbearing gas film force. The results show that: For this study hydrostatic gasbearing, in numerical calculations using SST model with a combination oflaminar flow calculations can get a better convergence results; double supplyhole, the gas bearing steady flow field and pressure distribution, you can get amore stable working environment. Bearing eccentricity, rotational speed, for thenumber of stomata, air supply method for pore diameter of the bearing bothpower and other characteristics of film have a greater impact, needcomprehensive consideration, rational design.Consider vertical supply gas bearing gas membrane force, using the finiteelement method to establish a model of rotor dynamics of the system, using QRdecomposition method for solving the gas film under the support of the rotorsystem critical speeds and modes; thus using Newmark integration schemecomputing nodes of the rotor unbalance response, the response by analyzing thetime course of the rotor, the spectrum, Orbit and amplitude-frequencycharacteristic curve, contrast gives the vertical supply gas bearing-Rotor Systemresponse characteristics. The results showed that three gas bearing fulcrum-the end of the turbine rotor system unbalance more sensitive, is the focus of the rotorbalancing.Build a vertical supply gas bearing-Rotor System bench, its rotor modal,low vibration characteristics were measured initially verify the system’s lownatural frequency, and the rotor-Vertical supply gas bearing systemexperimental program carried out analysis, in-depth pilot study for the future toprovide ideas.A vertical supply gas bearing-Rotor System bench was built and the rotormodal natural frequency was tested. Comparing numerical simulation andexperimental results, it confirms that the bending critical speed of the rotorsystem is basically consistent. Specific experimental research program areanalyzed to provide ideas for further experimental study.The results for the gas bearing design, vertical supply gas bearing-rotorvibration control system operation, balancing, fault diagnosis and so has a certainsignificance.
