Servo hydraulic valve is the core component of electro-hydraulic servo system.It can achieve the conversion from weak electrical signals to hydraulic power signal.Servo valve torque motor is the electrical-mechanical converter for servo hydraulicservo which acts as a bridge connecting the electrical devices and hydraulic devices.Furthermore, as a key component of the servo valve, its performance will directlyaffect the overall performance of the servo system. Therefore, the technology ofdesign, processing and manufacturing of torque motor has high demands. Becausethe current research about the torque motor testing is still relatively weak, there isno dedicated torque motor test laboratory equipment, causing the motor can not bedetected at the moment, which hinders the development of production technology oftorque motor. Thus this paper conducted related research about these issues.First, A torque motor mathematical model was established to obtain the generalform of the transfer function and the static torque motor characteristic equation.According to the theoretical parameters of a particular type of torquemotor,provided by a certain space research center, the specific form of the torquemotortransfer functionwas established. This research was theoretical preparation forthe design and experimental study of the systemhardware and software.Then, autuor developed a new system for measuring the static and dynamiccharacteristics of the motor torque, which is composed of hardware and softwarecomponents. Hardware components consist of electrical control cabinets, test bench,mechanical fixtures, sensors and other components. As to software part, we designedthe system test software based on the developed platform of LabVIEW software,including data acquisition, signal processing, graphing and curve printing. Thissystem provides a reliable basis for the later experimental research about theperformance of post-torque motor.Finally, autuor conducted extensive testing to verify the accuracy, stability andprecision of this system on the established experimental platform. The resultsshowed that the designed test system could fully meet the design demands due to itsreliablility, easy to operate, high degree of automation and high precision.
