With the advance of intelligent power grid construction, proposed higherrequirements for protection devices. Microcomputer protection device used in thedouble-circuit transmission line transverse differential still mostly based on16-bitsingle-CPU running slow and difficult to extend more protection function. Thispaper introduces a new transverse differential microcomputer protection device,dual CPU architecture constitute on LPC2468and TMS320F2812, with the featureof tripping fast, and more reliability, and extension of the protection functionconveniently.The article conduct a review of the history and current status of thedevelopment of microcomputer protection first, and then analyze the transversedifferential protection principle. Focuses on the hardware design of the device andthe realization of the dual-CPU architecture, a detailed description and using the103protocol communication. The software mainly introduced the transplantationand functional modules of μC/OS-Ⅱ system.
