With the rapid economic development, the substantial growth of the urbanpopulation and vehicle ownership, the city’s traffic congestion problems become moreand more serious. Consequently, the solving of the traffic problems has become thenumber one matter. Now, intelligent transportation systems (ITS) play an increasinglyimportant role in respect of the severe urban traffic congestion. Artery coordinationtechnology, which interact several intersection on a main road, is an importanttechnology to achieve artery control optimization in the application of ITS. Currently,more mature artery control technology is mainly focused on the the static timingintersection arterial road coordinate control (static artery control), but its effect is notobvious for the improvement of artery traffic. Therefore, this article will study the cityartery dynamic traffic, design and implement the city artery dynamic traffic controlsystem (Dynamic artery control). The main contents are as follows:Firstly, This thesis elaborates on the basic concepts and classification of trafficcontrol as well as the key parameters in the artery control system, then draws forth thedefinition of the city artery dynamic traffic control system, analyses and designs thegeneral structure of the artery system, details the function of each part of componentsof the system which should have. According to the research needs, designs and buildsa simulation platform of dynamic artery control based on semi-physical simulationtechnology.Secondly, in the the artery model study, this thesis follows the ideas of first pointafter the line, roads intersection optimization with choice of the TRRL method. Then,it has a brief introduction of the key parameter calculation model. Taking into accountthe stability and ease of implementation of engineering applications, this thesisin-depth studies and improves the numerical solution. Following the the largest greenwave design concept, combing with a practical example, this thesis delves intoexisting problem of the classic Algebraic Method in determing the best public cycleand the best ideal intersection spacing and the selection of the optimum phasedifference. This thesis proposes a new ideal law of the the law intersection spacingranges determination. It ensures the best ideal cycle to calculate the length of timewon’t less than the critical cycle; With regard to the problem of more than one of thelargest b value for determining the ideal intersection spacing, this thesis establishes areliable ideal intersection spacing selection principle; Contrary to the phenomenonthat inconsistencies for the theory green wave band with the actual generation greenwave band, this thesis improves the best phase difference selection methods and gives a new bandwidth calculation method. Then this thesis analyzes and designs relativeposition and the space-time diagram output algorithm of the ideal signal and theactual signal. Numerical example shows, classic roads improved coordination andcontrol signal timing Algebraic Method can ensure the calculation of the best publicsignal cycle and bandwidth also more accurate and effective.Then, this article designs and realizes the roads the Green Wave coordinatedcontrol system software in detail. At first, this thesis explains the softwaredevelopment purposes. Secondly, it outlines the necessary analysis before softwaredesign from the respects of software requirements analysis, the function modules andthe objects contained in software, as well as the relationship between the core classes;It followed by a brief introduction to the system schematic design and database design;The focus is that there is a combination of software which has been achieved andapplication of the combination of graphic to explain the content of each module of thesoftware implementation, and carefully to analysis the core algorithm contained.Finally, for the study of Chongqing NEW South Road, the core research resultsof this thesis are applied to the actual control system. This thesis also analyses theapplication status. Compared with the pre-application, in the respect of coordinationdirection, the number of the intersection stops, the period of the intersection delay aredecreased by more than10%, the traffic capacity of the Signalized Intersection arealso improved by more than10%.
