Cable-stayed bridge with its big span, esthetical sculpt, construction convenient, is adopted generally by bridgel builder. From the middle of1980s, cable-stayed bridge of our country has entered into a rapid development phase. As the important bearing component part of cable-stayed bridge, the cable must have excellent stiffness, mechanical strength, fatigue resistance and durability. But, becauseof under fatigue load and exposure to the elements usually, the cable and anchordevice suffer corrosion destruction, for one reason or other, there arelots of cabledamage even cable breaking debate at home and abroad. The damage of cable have a great influence on global stability and operation of cable-stayed bridge.Large bridge is a country’s traffic arterys, the investment huge and is of great significance, if we can’t find the function of the bridge in the safe hidden trouble even implied degradation will lead to significant safety accidents. Therefore,analysis of broken cable risk and research on cable damage for long scale cable-stayed bridge is become highly necessary. Through this research, We can make predictions about the effects on the bridge early because of cable fracture, for thebridge monitoring and disaster prevention reference.This paper studies the li Jiatuo changjiang river bridge for cable technology,carried out analysis of broken cable and the effect on bridge in differed construction condition, mainly in the following aspects of content:First of all, this paper expounds the development situation cable-stayed bridge, and introduced the cable-stayed bridge structure system, through the analysis of the present "service" bridge’s stay-cables state, puts forward theproblems in analysis of broken cable risk.Then, carries on the cable-stayed bridge’s cable risky analysis.According to the li Jiatuo changjiang river bridge size, application of large space “MIDAS”finite element software model is established, the space of numerical simulation study,broken cable damage situation of different structural condition of cable-stayed bridge. The analysis results of different position clear structure fracture cable sensitivity can be used as a structure health monitoring and sensor monitoring contentarrangement of reference.Finally, according to the analysis of broken cable risk, study of cable-stayeddetection. Through analysis the reason of damage, research out a complete and effective measure of cable health monitoring. Then according to the health monitoring of cable tension deflection and stress, we can forward monitoring the bridge’s operation state.
