On the basis of compressive strength test and elastic modulus test of27cube and54prism standard test blocks, some basic properties of recycled coarse aggregate concrete were studied in this paper. The test results show that the relationship between the axial compressive strength of recycled coarse aggregate concrete columns and cube compressive strength is direct proportion; The elastic modulus of recycled coarse aggregate concrete decreases with the increase of recycled coarse aggregate replacement ratio.On the basis of static compressive test and analysis of10recycled coarse aggregate concrete columns and one natural coarse aggregate concrete column with the same strength grade, influence of recycled coarse aggregate replacement ratio, eccentricity and reinforcement ratio on compressive mechanical properties of recycled coarse aggregate concrete columns were also studied, then compared and analyzed tested value and calculated value of ultimate bearing capacity and cracking load in order to put forward calculation method of ultimate bearing capacity and cracking load. The test results show that the pressure phenomenon, failure patterns, the relationship between strain and load, and normal section strain distribution of concrete of recycled coarse aggregate concrete columns are similar with those of natural coarse aggregate concrete column.The characteristics load of recycled coarse aggregate concrete column decreases with increment of the eccentricity with the same replacement rate of recycled coarse aggregate. Eccentricity, reinforcement ratio and recycled coarse aggregate replacement ratio affects the lateral deformation of columns. It is proved that it is feasible to apply calculation formula which is proposed in the paper to calculate design values of bearing capacity when equivalent stress coefficient of recycled coarse aggregate concrete is used. It is also feasible to apply calculation formula which is proposed in the paper to calculate design values of cracking load when tensile strength and elastic modulus of recycled coarse aggregate concrete.are used.
