Spiral centrifuge can be used to separate heterogeneous mixtures by theuse of centrifugal sedimentation principle.It has the mangcharacteristics,such as continuous feeding, large treating capacity and lowpower consumption as well as strong adaptability.Therefore,spiral centrifugeis used widely in industry.In recent years, with the development of scienceand technology, the research on subsidence centrifuge also makes greaterprogress, especially in the relatively rapid development of the structure andvariety,but the research on the spiral centrifuge flow field theoretical is stillrelatively weak.This paper designs the three dimensional solid modeling of LWB350horizontal spiral centrifuge parts at first with the help of Solidworkssoftware,and completes the whole mechanical virtual assembly through theSolidworks assembly module.This paper makes the flow field simplified reasonably,according to theflow characteristics of Spiral centrifuge,the flow field is studied by numericalsimulation with the software Fluent.By the comparison of applicable scopeand computational requirements of different turbulence models, this paperchooses the Reynolds stress model to solve.On the basis of horizontal spiralcentrifuge knowledge, this paper simulates the flow field in a variety ofcontexts,and obtains the simulation results of spiral centrifuge about flowfield pressure, dynamic pressure and velocity distribution. On this basis,according to the case that solid phase volume fraction of the suspension isoften less than10%, this paper selects discrete phase model to analyze thesuspension flow.This paper explores the flow, speed and other parameters on separationeffect based on the numerical simulation results,and completes theproduction capacity calculation of spiral centrifuge.
