With the development of technology, people’s lives are changing. The car hasbecome an important part in daily life. In addition to the safety and convenience of theautomobile, people is more and more emphasis on comfort and entertainment of thecar, which contributed to the prosperity of the automotive electronic products.However, how to get control of a variety of electronic equipments effectively andeasily is an urgent problem.This thesis mainly describes how to use the Car-PC to achieve the convenientcontrol of the car multimedia devices, by using hardware and software design andsuccessful debug, and the design of tuning digital radio is one of the main parts of thesystem. The transmission of control commands is done by using the RS232communication between the microcontroller and on-board computer. The other part ofthis complete system is the car audio module,which can be subdivided into an audioprocessing section and a power amplifier part, and the audioprocessing section couldbe controlled by the low-power microprocessor. The design is applied in theautomotive environment, so the designer should take into account the low powerperformance of chips. I use a PIC microcontroller chip in the system because oflow-power and high-performance characteristics. The system designed can achievethe control of digital radio and car audio via the onboard computer.The thesis describes how to design the system through hardware/software design,and analyzes the working principle and the performance characteristics of the chip.The whole system is devided to five modules: a power supply module, a tuningmodule, a microcontroller module, an audio module and a host computer module. Thehardware section describes the characteristics of each module in the system and theway of working, and the circuit diagram about the circuit design of the hardwareconnection and device peripherals.The software part demonstrates the system software implementation process,and introduces the different interface protocol chipand the design of computer software.In a word, in the design, the on-board computeris used control a variety of audio equipments, to realize the questions of multi-deviceconsole in vehicle environment.
