Steel corrosion is the major factors that structural loss of carrying capacity, affecting the life expectancy and it’s also an important issue that affect the durability of reinforced concrete structures. Carbon fiber, aramid fiber, glass fiber and other is high performance continuous fiber with a corrosion resistant, light weight, high strength, anti-electromagnetic radiation, anti-fatigue and a series of excellent features. Pultrusion made of FRP bars (Fiber Reinforced Plastics) can be completely or partly replace the reinforced in the concrete structural engineering with high development value. However, FRP tendons reaching the ultimate tensile strength will be suddenly broken, for ordinary concrete beams, the yield point and plastic stage, brittle failure will occur. Therefore, research the FRP tendon’s mechanical properties of the concrete beam flexural performance, bending properties and failure mechanism analysis of FRP reinforced concrete beams under load, it has important significance for the structural design. In this paper, use the method of finite element analysis to study the mechanical properties of prestressed FRP bars reinforced beams, mainly for the following aspects:(1) Because the ANSYS general purpose finite element software, the powerful and complex used software’s interface is not friendly for general civil engineering professional researchers,based on ANSYS secondary development tools, use the Visual Basic/Visual C++and other technology to develop a pre-stress FRP reinforced concrete reinforcement finite element analysis program, including three parts include the pre-processing, intermediate calculations, and post-processing. Pre-treatment including the establishment of reinforced concrete materials library, prestressed FRP reinforced concrete component model; intermediate calculations use the ANSYS; post-processing using the post-processor of the ANSYS and post-processor of the secondary development of ANSYS performance the results.(2) Using the ANSYS secondary development software for the designed prestressed FRP reinforced concrete the simply supported beam under third point loading force to simulate the whole process of non-linear finite element simulation analysis, the modeling method, the unit selecting and the material constitutive definition,solving methods are detailly instructed. Get the main calculation results of ultimate bearing capacity of the beam deflection, reinforced stress, cracks, beam ductility, etc.(3) Based on inspection of FRP bars section prestressed concrete beam test research analysis and nonlinear finite element simulation analysis, focusing on force performance of concrete beam with different type of FRP bars.
