According to the domestic and foreign literatures, the development trend and researchstatus of the differential floating transmission seal are described. The working principle andthe floating seal leakage are described in detail. According to the related knowledge offriction and wear, and combined with the working environment of the differential floatingtransmission seal, the type of wear and wear condition of the V rings and O rings which arethe key auxiliary components of the transmission sealing are analyzed. And the materials ofthe rings are selected base on the analysis result.By using the theory of fluid mechanics, the leakage model of the end face of thetransmission seal is established, and the computation formula of the leakage model isestablished in consideration of liquid pressure and centrifugal force condition. According tothe working parameters and physical parameters of the hydraulic oil, the numerical solution ofthe leakage model is processed in MATLAB software. The main factors affecting of theleakage model are analyzed, and the main ways to control the leakage of the transmission sealare proposed according to the analysis result.Based on the heat transfer and thermodynamic knowledge, the solid heat conductionequation without internal heat source in the cylindrical coordinate two-dimensionalsteady-state system of the sealing rings is established. According to the working environmentof the seal rings, the boundary conditions of the temperature field and the thermal boundaryconditions of the rotating ring and the static ting are calculated. The temperature field modelsof the rotating ring and static ring are established by the finite element analysis softwareANSYS. The temperature field distribution of the rings and the temperature distribution of thetwo sealing surfaces are analyzed by solving the temperature field models. According to thethermal-structure analysis method of ANSYS, the analysis result of the temperature field isloaded into its structure analysis model, so that the deformation law of the rings and thedeformation law of the axial and radial thermal deformation of the two sealing surfaces areshown. The solving result is verified and analyzed according to the working conditions of thedifferential floating transmission seal.
