Reduce electric automobile body weight can prolong a charging driving distance, improve efficiency, energy conservation. At present, there are three main ways to reduce electric automobile body weight:optimization of application structure, introduction of new technology and new materials. Considering low speed, small volume of characteristics, high development costs of electric vehicles, this paper raised body structure forming lightweight technology of rotational molding. Main research contents and results are as follows:This article discusses electric vehicles aims, significance and research status of body weight.Through analysis of electric automobile lightweight way, put forward body rotational molding integral forming process. In order to obtain the relevant parameters of the design of the body structure, use UG NX6.0software to build the model, use hypermesh software to finite element grid partition, determining the computation load selection constraint and material. Through the digital CAE analysis to comparison of the two materials, body wall thickness has been adjusted.Using modal analysis method, to ensure that the stiffness and strength of the body structure to meet the design requirements. Put forward the solution of the stress concentration and resonance problem.In order to ensure the performance of the rotational overall molding process in lightweight, point out the heating temperature、heating time、main auxiliary shaft ratio、 cooling way is the main factors affect on quality of the products, some technical problems have been resolved, By analyzing to determine the best molding process conditions to guarantee performance product, and lightweight body effects were verified.The results show that:a molding process of rotational to complete electric automobile body which can structure simplified parts number less mould cost low, and impact resistance performance capacity beautiful degree than glass fiber reinforced plastic body production cycle is better. But body strength is not high easy buckling deformation easy generation hole in the future, make more research about the new material selection and body whole forming roll plastic process.
