When the high-speed train exceeds above300km per hour, it needs CTCS-3(China Train Control System Level Three) dedicated network GSM-R (GSM for Railway) as the communications platform of the train control signal. As the terrain environment along the high-speed railway is very complex, factors affecting radio communication environment are ever-changing, among which the electromagnetic environment interference phenomenon is the most common. Serious interference can cause the communication interrupted, or even lead to a major accident. Therefore, it is of vital significance to study into GSM-R system and interference phenomenon, effectively strengthen the protection work of the dedicated frequencies of GSM-R, and find out the strategy of the electromagnetic environmental protection monitoring of GSM-R.This paper focuses on the Shanghai-Hangzhou high-speed railway electromagnetic environmental protection issues, from strengthening the management of established radio stations along the high-speed railway to carrying out electromagnetic environmental protection monitoring. The paper analyses all kinds of factors affecting the GSM-R system of Shanghai-Hangzhou high-speed railway and the electromagnetic compatibilities between GSM-R system and public mobile communication system, and proposes the necessary protected isolation requirements between GSM-R system and public mobile communication system. Further more the paper analyses the necessities of carrying out electromagnetic environmental protection monitoring, puts forward the strategy to carry out the protection monitoring program, and proves the effectiveness of electromagnetic environmental protection monitoring through actual case.
