| With the continuous advancement of China’s urban infrastructure construction and exploitation of fossil resources, the market demand for dump trucks is increasing, which creates a favourable opportunity for the development of the dump truck. The driving conditions of dump truck are more complex than those of other commercial vehicles. The relative concentration of ups and downs road shape, coupled with the domestic habits of the overload transportation, results in a more stringent frame force conditions compared to other commercial vehicles and more prone to fatigue damage.Road spectrum data is the main incentives input of the automotive structural fatigue durability analysis. The research on road spectrum acquisition has been taking for many years. However, the previous works are mainly focused on small-waveform and high-frequency road geometry data. The study of the impacts of the large waveform data on the fatigue life of the frame has not been fully expand.Based on road tests and virtual prototype simulation, this paper analyzes the fatigue life of the dump truck frame under the incentive of the large waveform of road roughness. The pitching angle of the frame, which collected using gyroscope, can be converted to the large waveform curve of the road. Superimposed with the small waveform curve of road shaped which collected by the acceleration sensor, it can be transformed into the integral road spectrum curve. This paper established the finite element model of the dump truck frame, and obtained the stress distribution by the inertia release, then analyzed the fatigue life of the frame using the HyperWorks/Fatigue. The results show that: the large waveform data have impacts on both distribution and life span of the fatigue danger point. |
