Expansive polystyrene granule cement latticed concrete wall (EPSClatticed concrete wall) is a composite wall consists of the expansivepolystyrene granule cement and the interior latticed concrete frame. Not onlyhaving the advantages as lightweight, earthquake resistance, thermalinsulation, easy to install, this new type of wall also meets the nationalenvironmental protection and energy saving requirements. However, theresearch and application is still in infancy in China.Six lateral resistance tests are performed and the results of two walls,which experienced shear failure, are analyzed. Comparing with the empiricalformula from paper [27], a new equation is derived with the consideration ofthe seismic shear strength from the lateral reinforcement bars. The resultsfrom the new equation fit the experiments data better. In addition, the shearforce and story displacement of each damaged wall are analyzed in order todetermine the restoring force characteristic curve.In this thesis, two six-story structures (with different space in plan) andone seven-story structure, a total of three cement polystyrene formworkconcrete wall lattice structures as the research object, the nonlinear dynamictime-history analysis is performed for different site conditions, under threedifferent acceleration peak seismic response and destruction of housing statuswith12selected representative ground motions.The calculation results show that, while in7-degree region, six-story(3.6m spacing) structure achieve to meet seismic requirements, while six(4.8m spacing) structure in0.2g ground motion, which is rare earthquake of7degrees, meet seismic requirements; applied with7degrees earthquakefortification, six/seven-story structures meet the requirements for seismicresistance. However, all three fails to reach the requirements in0.3g groundmotions.
