The Protection And Repair Technology Analysis On Walls Of Architecture Heritage In U.S.A

Although the history of the United Stated is not long, architectural heritages are reserved perfectly in current cities. The age of these heritages is about200to300years old, which is similar to some areas in China. After World War Ⅱ, an urban renewal movement appeared with the development of suburbanization, destroyed lots of old buildings, led to more social problems. In1970s, the architectural heritage protection movement mainly aimed to rethink urban construction and reshape the center of city, until now, urban renewal movement is showing in many cities in China, which is very similar to America, so, it has practical meanings to research the architectural heritage protection movement in America.At present, the research of architectural heritage protection in China has become to an important aspect, and lots of received goals appear, researching contents has turned to practical protecting rules management system and laws from simple appeals, and protection rules and experiences from other countries are introduced more and more. Relatively, the research about technology is very short. If the development of protection history reflects people’s understanding about historical heritage and the develop process of society. So, it is very necessary to research the protecting technology. Walls are an indispensable part in architectural heritages, sews affects the safety and appearance of wall, lime on the wall records more history of history building, especially has more meanings to building which has decorated painting. It is very necessary and important to protect and repair the walls in architectural heritages.There are five parts in this paper. Chapter1is introduction part. Chapter2introduces the current protection situation in USA. Chapter3is the center of this paper, it is about the protection technology analysis, including repointing and lime repair, and how to evaluate the repairing apartment, what problems should pay attention to, what effects should achieved. Chapter4introduces the current protection situation in China. Chapter5is the last part in this paper, it discusses problems which should notice in the process of repairing, including the expect to the repair technology standard, exploration about the root reasons for wall damage and some problems appears in repair process, it is also the goal of this paper. The purpose of learning other’s advantages is to use for us and help to solve our own problems.
