Analysis In The Transformation Of Control And Protection System Of±500kV Tian-Guang HVDC Project

As the first DC transmission project in CSG, Tian-Guang HVDC, since the Bipolar put into operation in2001, for the power transmission from west to east career and economic development in Guangdong has made a huge contribution. But with10years goes by, the original SIEMENS control and protection platform aging, device failure rate grows up, and the factory stop to supply the spare parts, the safe and stable operation of Tian-Guang HVDC are increasingly facing a huge threat.To solve this problem EHV Power Transmission Company make a transformation of Tian-Guang HVDC control and protection. And this paper introduce the application of NanRui PCS9550HVDC control and protection platform in the transformation, make a contrast of the new platform and the original platform such as the HVDC operation mode, the HVDC control mode,pole control system of the blocking logic etc. Also this paper introduce the application of XuJi protection device using in the converter transform and the AC filter protection system.This research analysis and sum up the the transformation of control and protection system of±500kV Tian-Guang HVDC project and make a foundation for the operation and maintenance of Tian-Guang HVDC in the future.
