The angle of attack and pitch angle are important parameters of wind turbineblade, which are mainly determined by aerodynamic result without considering theamount of annual power generation and shadow effect. Based on10kW fixed-pitchvariable-speed wind turbine, this paper presents the relationship between annualpower generation and angle of attack, and the relationship between tower effect andtwist angle. The main work is as follows:1) The structure parameters and performance parameters of10kW fixed pitch andvariable speed wind turbine have been determined.2) Lift and drag coefficient of DU93W210airfoil has been determined. Chordlength and pitch angle of blade element and power coefficient have been obtained aswell. By knowing wind turbine power output control methods, three groups of poweroutput curve and annual energy production (AEP) have been calculated. At last,GH-Bladed software has been used to demonstrate the results and the optimal angle ofattack of DU93W210airfoil by considering AEP has been gained.3) Based on blade element theory, two-dimensional model of downwind andupwind wind turbine has been proposed to study shadow effect. CFD has been used tocalculate DU93W210airfoil aerodynamic parameters. With three groups of twistangles, tower shadow models of downwind and upwind wind turbine have been built.By observing aerodynamic parameters and turbulence intensity of the modulations,the influence between pitch angles and tower shadow has been explored.The research results provide a new method for theoretical study of wind turbine,and have guiding significance to blade parameter optimization.
