Research On Design Of Integration Of Urban Public Spatial Landscape Wall Morphology And Environment

In the long history of culture,"wall" precipitates rich historical informationand profound traditional thinking. It is engraved with people’s way of thinking andbehavioral process, and the value of it is converted from architectural presence toan order and standard, and thus its inherent cultural significance outweighs thatpart of the building. With the rapid development of urbanization, the function of"wall" is gradually changed from function of defense in the history to that of thematerial carrier of individual mentality and social needs in modern public spacedesign of current modern times. For modern landscape design, designersdemonstrate landscape walls in a variety of aspects, and interpret them from multipleperspectives such as functional and artistic perspectives and landscape wall becomeincreasingly important as one landscape element in urban public space.Scenic wall is one of the elements in the landscape composition and theenclosure and organization of wall are essential elements to create a spatiallandscape. The function of wall in the landscape is presented jointly by both thewall surface and the structure of the body part of wall; wall is a kind of limitedborder, and is the element to make up the closed and open space, which has strongvisual guidance functionality. By controlling the material and detail, size and styleof the wall, space can be created, people’s visual sense can be stimulated and spaceatmosphere can be presented.The paper adopts the landscape wall as the main line, and as the landscapewall can exist independently without the space, the paper is to put the landscapewall in the public space of the city to study it. First, an overview of the history ofthe emergence and development of the wall is to be stated, and the scope of thestudy of the landscape wall in urban public space is to be defined. Second, theaspects of relations between the wall and the spatial environment is to beresearched on, including the aspects of interaction of the wall and the spatialenvironment, relations between the wall and the configuration of the elements ofthe spatial environment, and form of combination of the landscape wall in the spaceand visual impact of the wall on the space. By the form, color, material and scale of the wall, the landscape features of public space are to be demonstrated. By researchand investigation of the real cases, the existing problems in the field of landscapewall in the public space are to be analyzed, and the landscape walls in two types ofurban public space in Nanjing are to be researched on and analyses in detail, whichprovides the effective reference and guidance for future design.
