Spur dike is one of the main channel regulation project. Groin building can beamof water supplied, protect embankment, increase the depth and ensure navigation. At thesame time, also can bring flow separation, recirculation, turbulence and a series ofcomplex flow structure changes. Study on the damage mechanism of spur dike and putsforward the corresponding maintenance measures for spur dike, has very importantsignificance for design and maintenance.Research in this paper relies on the west traffic construction science andtechnology project "the upper reaches of the Yangtze River waterway regulation ofbuilding damage mechanism and prevention of monitoring technology". The flowstructure of around spur dike and scour mechanism are briefly discussed. Data aboutflood regulation building dike were collected in upper reaches of the Yangtze River,Washout of spur dike regulation structures were analyzed, based on the existing researchresults, relying on the waterway construction engineering of the upper reaches of theYangtze River and design of the5different forms of spur dike, respectively for thewater bed scouring, comparative analysis of selected a good spur dike structure.By combining the model test and theoretical analysis, discusses in detail thedifferent structural forms of spur dike flood process, draw the scour depth curve,scouring terrain contour map of spur dike was detected, at the same time to scour therange of all time tracking measurement, study on damage mechanism of spur dike. Inorder to maintain the stability of dike regulation structures, design of concrete andmasonry stone ballast concrete block hinged mattress revetment dike and dike two newtypes of dam. Research and put forward the prevention measures, monitoring measuresand repairing measures to prevent damaging spur dike.
