High voltage, low voltage motor is widely used in power plants. industrial and mining enterprises. The asynchronous motor because of its simple structure, low price, good mechanical property, convenient operation and maintenance and other advantages in the industry which has been obtained in the widespread application. Since automation cattle production in the process of automatic control devices, motor often require frequent starting, braking, running in reverse and variable load and other conditions, resulting in deterioration of terms of use of motor. The motor protection devices are increasingly high requirements. Motor protective device is now various, for example, the thermal protection, electromagnetic protection, temperature protection, electronic protection, microprocessor-based protection and so on. Their functions are also more and more strong, and the performance is also getting better and better.The teaching of the major of electric motor in modern higher vocational colleges is more essential to the curriculum. The teaching process of motor training has his own characteristics.As student’s knowledge level is uneven. and the practical ability of students is generally weak, and guide teachers is less, it is difficult to guarantee the students’ training security.Therefore, the teaching process of protection has it’s important features. For example, a person can simultaneously multiple motor real time monitoring operation, problems encountered in operation of protection device speed quickly. Currently on the markets, the protections device are mainly-designed and researched for factories, and in domestic motor protections are device by conventional relay. When the motor fault, in particular there is unbalanced current, they often can not be timely, accurate to do action, so the resulting motor damage, more serious safety accidents occur and cause great loss. Therefore the solution to the problem seems more urgent and important.This design is to solve the single-chip motor current imbalance problem, which is a regular motor fault. The device adopts the cost-effective PIC16F877produced by Microchip Company as CPU miniature device. In the hardware design, the motor parameters are displayed instead of regular LED display, by a LCD character type liquid crystal display, the keyboard input is by keyboard matrix, and there are some designs which communicate with othes.
