Road construction plays an important role in modern project. Road rigidity, as an important road detection system performance parameter, is the key link and the evaluation index of the road detection system. During the construction of road infrastructure, in order to avoid the occurrence does not meet the hardness requirement leading the decline in the quality engineering and road damage or other issues, the implementation of road works on the hardness testing is necessary.In this topic, the American National Instruments (NI)’s virtual instrument software development platform Lab VIEW was used as the system’s development platform. Through the signal collected by the pressure sensor combined with signal conditioning circuits, functions of various parts were designed to analyze the relevant parameters of the road rigidity. The test data was measured and collected according to national standard methods, at the same time, virtual instrument software and related algorithms was used to statistics and comprehensive analysis of the data and the state of the road hardness would be detected and researched. And thus it provided an important basis for the quality of road management and road maintenance.This system used Lab VIEW virtual instrument technology, single chip technology as the core, and the use of sensor technology, detection technology and computer systems integration technology combined together. All of them were applied to the road hardness data acquisition and detection system, to achieve the road condition of rigidity. In the aspect of hardware, it was consisted of the pressure sensor, AVR microcontroller, and various peripheral chips and designing circuits including the voltage regulator module, A/D converter module, key control module, LCD module, data transfer and storage module and so on. Through the data collection by the pressure sensor and the measurement acquisition by the time chip, the hardware conditioning circuit were designed and connected with reason. So the system of lower computer initially realized displaying, controlling, storage, communications and other functions. In the aspect of software, the system utilized a combination of computer technology and MCU technology. In the lower computer design, C language was adopted to carry out programming with the development tool of ICC AVR, to achieve the logic programming features as conversion of the signal acquisition, storage, transmission and display. In the upper computer software design, virtual instrument technology was adopted with LabVIEW, which was based on a development platform using graphical programming language G, for human-computer interaction design, with the more integrally relevant logic algorithms, to realize the comparison of data analysis, historical storage and processing related operations. And a certain anti-interference measures were introduced in the entire system hardware circuit and software design to ensure the system more stability and reliability.Many times of experimental results show that, this system is relatively stable and reliable, and its installation and commissioning is rather convenient, the test results are accurate. The adoption of this system can easily achieve the status of the road rigidity. The value of the data analysis provided the necessary frame of reference for future road construction and maintenance works.It become a useful attempt for the road construction and project management. In a word, this subject has broad application prospects.
