Changchun Industrial Space Form And Formation Mechanism

The city space structure is the hot pot of geographic research. Taking an exampleof Changchun, the paper focuses on interaction relationship between industrial spaceand other functional space of Changchun. The distribution of industrial space has acrucial impact on the city’s form and structure. Currently, there has been lack ofresearch on the industrial space in China. This paper, reviewing the theory of theindustrial space research at home and abroad, try to put forward some innovation onthe methods of industrial space research, reveal spatial morphological characteristicsand existing problems of Changchun and analyze the forming mechanism ofChangchun industrial space. Finally, this paper proposes the solutions in view of thepresent industrial space problems.This research, using the image of Changchun from Google Earth, referring toland-use map of different stage of Changchun, using related software such as ArcGIS,has discussed morphological structure and mutual relations among industrial space,living space, service space and traffic space. The paper applied a variety of researchmethods, such as buffer research, ring system analysis method, and select differentindex, for example, primacy ratio,4block index, Shannon-Weaver diversity index,the average of area, growth rate of land use，and analyzed urban spatial structure ofChangchun from the perspective of industrial space. This paper is divided into eightchapters.Chapter Ⅰ: Introduction. It mainly introduces the selected background of thistopic, research target, the significance, research content and method, and the emphasisand difficulties of this study.Chapter Ⅱ: The paper applies the fundamental theory of the study. It defines theconcept of industrial space and city function, introduces briefly the basic theory, suchas industrial location theory and so on, and carries on the system summary to relatedresearch at home and abroad.Chapter Ⅲ: The paper reveals the time and space evolution of industrial spaceevolution of Changchun. It clears up the progress of evolution of industrial space ofChangchun. Based on the center of gravity,"core-periphery", the space-timecharacteristics from1995to2011of evolution of industrial space of Changchun, ithas carried on the quantitative analysis. Chapter Ⅳ:It analyzes present characteristics of industrial space of Changchun.Mainly from the characteristics of layout of industrial land, the change of"core-periphery" layout, it does some study on the overall shape of industrial space ofChangchun, divides Changchun into seven areas and a peripheral zone, chooses theaverage index like land area, first degree, plot indicators and so on to do furtheranalyze on the spatial configuration of each area, and puts forward the main problemsof industrial space form of Changchun.Chapter Ⅴ:Research the relationship between industrial space and urban spacein Changchun City. On the basis of the introduction of industrial space and urbanspace interaction theory, it analyzes the overall spatial of the three sites from twoaspects: the center of gravity from the land and "center-periphery" change, studiesthe area and typical area of urban spatial morphology and evolution characteristics byShannon-Weaver diversity index indicators, quantitatively analyzes the mutualrelationship between the number of industrial space and traffic space by bufferresearch methods, and summarizes the main problems of the urban space.Chapter Ⅵ:Analyze the formation mechanism of industrial space of ChangchunCity. It analyzes the formation mechanism of industrial space of Changchun City fromthe aspects of Administrative, marketing, planning, transportation, path dependenceand technological innovation, the natural environment and ecology.Chapter Ⅶ:Research the trend of development and control of industrial space ofChangchun. It analyzes the trend of the industrial space of Changchun City and putsforward the control countermeasures and SuggestionsChapter Ⅷ: Conclusion and Outlook. Focused on the summary of these studies,it points out the possible innovation and shortcomings of thesis on this basis, andlooks forward to further research directions.
