The better features of reinforced soil walls during earthquake has been documentedwidely in the literature, which is greater than conventional retaining wall’s. Thereforereinforced soil retaining wall has been increasingly used for engineering in recent years. Dueto the complexity of the reinforced soil structure and the variety of seismic influence factors,the research level of seismic principle cannot meet the needs of the practice. So this thesissummarizes the seismic analysis of reinforced soil retaining wall, and then use the experienceanalogy, model test and numerical simulation methods to analyze how the five factorsinfluence on seismic performance of reinforced soil retaining wall, which is backfill soil,panel, ibbon, ribbon spacing, belt reinforcement ratio.The chief achievements and outcome is as follows:(1) Based on the related literature, this papper summarizes the method for seismicanalysis of reinforced soil retaining wall, and gathers existing shaking table model tests,especially the full scale reinforced soil retaining wall test using shaking table model, whichinduces various factors influence on the seismic performance of reinforced soil retaining wall.This factors can be used as a critertion to judge the rationslity of model test in this thesis(2)Statistics values of physical and mechanical properties of sand and loess have beenobtained through a series of indoor soil test; And making a pull-out test apparatus for thereinforced materials which are kraft paper tape, hard plastic tape, transparent tape to obtainthe stress-strain relationship curves of mechanical parameters of ribbon,to prepare for thefollow-up test and numerical simulation.(3)To analyze how the backfill soil, panel, ribbon, ribbon spacing, reinforcement beltreinforcement ratio influence on the seismic performance of reinforced soil retaining wall.Confined by the existing vibration table size and the common geometric dimension ofreinforced soil retaining wall, according to the similarity theory, this papper build up9different types of reinforced soil retaining walls and the index of similarity is25.(4) Using vibration table to vibration test for9reinforced soil retaining wall models,which are under different acceleration peak value. Got the model of reinforced soil retainingwall panels of the acceleration, dynamic displacement, drive the change of strain increment.To analyze five factors influence on seismic performance of reinforced soil retaining wall.(5) According to the result of laboratory test, using the FLAC3D to simulate the3different earthquake acceleration, the anti-earthquake properties of9kinds of prototype ofreinforced soil retaining wall. And the simulation results are compared with those of themodel test results.(6) According to the model test results and the comparison of the results of numerical simulation, and the existing seismic analysis of reinforced soil retaining wall, analysis of theuse of small scale model test scope and limitations. In order to provide reference for smallscale shaking table test of later.
