The crack of high arch dam is due to improper handling of arch dam base, temperature stress, the load is too large, the crack will cause different degree of harm to the structure of high arch dam, it will be the formation of a long cycle about the stress concentration-crack propagation-stress redistribution-crack extension. If this cycle is damage by external factors,the crack will extend.So studying on concrete crack and crack propagation path is very important for disaster prevention.In this paper, using the virtual crack closure technique (VCCT) and using the self-designed FORTRAN subroutine in ABAQUS platform to study a concrete arch dam crack propagation numerical simulation analysis.Contents and results of this paper include the following parts:(1)This paper introduces the basic theory of fracture mechanics and the basic principle of the virtual crack closure technique and fracture element and the relationship between the strain energy release rate and the stress intensity factor;(2)Using the virtual crack closure technique and fracture element subroutine to calculate the strain energy release rate of three examples, comparing the calculated value with the analytical solution.it proves that the combined method has higher accuracy;(3)Using the HyperMesh to partition hexahedral mesh with high quality of an arch dam.Using the virtual crack closure technique and fracture element subroutine to analysis of the fracture problem of arch dam and researching the crack effect of stress, displacement of arch dam under normal water condition.Finally, the expansion trend of the arch dam crack under different conditions.Research shows that, in the normal storage conditions, crack no growth; in pressure overload conditions, obtains three kinds of different length crack growth path, it shows that under some conditions have a certain effect on the calculation results of size. |
