Nowadays, the stability analysis and safety control of wide-area power system (WAPS) attract more and more attention. It’s a complex problem for modern large-scale electricity grid. Multiple developed control methods are based on point-to-point communication mode. With the development of electricity grid, the concepts of networked control system (NCS) have been introduced into power system, and new conclusion is to be drawn in the safety control of WAPS.First, this essay elaborate the principles and steps of multi-generator power system modeling. Model of components (e.g. generator, excitation system, additional control system, load and transmission line) are separately discussed, and mathematical transfer function are developed accroding to electric machinery. We apply the knowledge of power system to establish the modeling process of a simple four-machine two-area power system. Then, this paper considers the modeling and stabilization problem of NCS which contains a wide-area control object. Signals from sensors installed in the field are classified into two style:local signals and remote signals. Considering packet loss problem of the remote signals, NCS is modeled into an inter-regional switching system. Sufficient conditions on stability and stabilization of such NCSs are presented. Using LMI toolbox, a numerical example is worked out to demonstrate the feasibility and efficiency of the proposed method. |
