| Compliant mechanism is a kind of mechanism, which uses elastic deformation ofcompliant component in it to realize the transfer and conversion of the motion, forceand energy. Compared with traditional rigid mechanism, compliant mechanism canreduce the number of parts, short assembly time, simplify manufacturing process, andimprove motion precision and extend service life because of less gap and frictionbetween its components. The process of metamorphic transformation in metamorphicmechanism can be integrated to compliant mechanism to further improve itsperformance and efficiency, the mechanism which we obtain is called compliantmetamorphic mechanism being a new direction in compliant mechanism.Firstly, this thesis gives a brief introduction of compliant mechanism, main designmethods and application fields of it. The process of metamorphic transformation isintroduced to compliant mechanism, and the concept of compliant metamorphiccomponents is put forward. Based on the basic design and analysis methods ofcompliant mechanism, design method and its steps of compliant metamorphicmechanism are given combined with the nature of metamorphic mechanism. Secondly,two kinds of compliant metamorphic mechanism are obtained to realize intermittentmotion, and one of them was designed as drive mechanism of powder tablet machinebased on the proposed compliant metamorphic component and design method ofcompliant metamorphic mechanism. Thirdly, after making an analysis of the motionprocess of wire stripper, a kind of compliant metamorphic wire stripping mechanism ispresented using a compliant metamorphic component, and optimization design of themechanism is completed through the proposed method, processed prototype verifies therationality of this design through the wire stripping tests. In addition, the preliminarydesign of the fully-compliant metamorphic wire stripping mechanism is also carried on,and its design process is shown with the help of finite element analysis software.Using the proposed compliant metamorphic components and the design method ofcompliant metamorphic mechanism, two compliant metamorphic mechanisms designcould be successfully accomplished, which reduces the cost of production, improves itsusage effectiveness. |
